IN THE PRESS

"It is not enough with what you have done but to continue working hard here and now, especially here where we are." That is what Ariadna always says and that is what makes us how we are. She delivered.

JOSEP ANTONI POLOP, AUTHOR AND LIBRARIAN

Ariadna Garrido is inviting us to be a light with her and to veil and to unveil reality in this inexorable journey.

BIBIANA COLLADO, CONSOLIDATED AUTHOR

She talks about different feelings with different layers of lightness that everyone can relate to in the book 23. Softness and heaviness expressed in a journey of a day: morning, afternoon and night.

Ariadna was born in Valencia and is a Catalan Language student at the University of Valencia and UOC and also a member of a cultural association called El Gat Negre (The Black Cat). Her own exigency of a constant improvement and her personal maturing processes helped her win two Sambori Awards at an early age. Nowadays, she is working and living in Manchester, UK.

The will of gathering a bunch of ideas, convictions, experiences and other concerns will be the two main reasons why you can read her articles and interviews in Mirales a Spanish lgtb+ magazine. She is also a Head Translator of Beat Valencia, a leading music magazine in the city. As a passionate word researcher, you can find her literary translations in Catalan and Spanish of the children’s book The Hairy Plug Monster by Leighroy Marsh. Ariadna has published a poetry book in Catalan called 23, ed. Germania (2014) and participates in the bilingual anthology Mare Omnium ed. Lastura (2015) and in a second anthology written entirely in Portuguese: Atlântica ed. Ianua (2016). Ariadna’s more intimate thoughts are written on her personal blog (http://prismesdevidre.blogspot.co.uk/) and different social media platforms.

Awaiting publication is Mare, Pare: He Perdut el Nas! (Mum, Dad: I Lost My Nose!), a Catalan illustrated book, and also another future project called El Ojo Izquierdo (The Left Eye) a Spanish poetry book that nourishes from the last past experiences. She keeps working with a wide range photography collaborations worldwide that influence her vision flourishing in different creative proposals where converge in a variety of arts normally.
